  Most ice cream cups prepared by a team: Dippin’ Dots breaks Guinness World Records' record

NASHVILLE, Ky., USA -- Headlined by Warner Music Nashville artist Ashley Monroe, the Dippin' Dots team prepared 473 cups of ice cream in three minutes, breaking a Guinness World Records' record at Let Freedom Sing! July 4th in Music City in downtown Nashville on Independence Day, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest chain of people licking ice cream; it was achieved by 2,728 participants at an event organised by Morelli's of Portstewart Ltd. (UK) in Portstewart, Northern Ireland, UK.

  The Guinness world record for the longest ice cream dessert measures 204.26 m (670 ft 1 in) and was achieved by The LiGht Youth Group (USA), in Cavalier, North Dakota, USA.

Curt Jones, Dippin' Dots founder and CEO, was also part of the record-setting team.

  "Our Guinness World Records record attempt was a fun and unique way to commemorate the 30th anniversary of National Ice Cream Month," said Jones.

 "We are thrilled that our team successfully completed the challenge. We'd like to thank the talented Ashley Monroe for helping us with our record-setting effort as well as the many Nashville families who came out to cheer us on at Nashville's wonderful Let Freedom Sing! July 4th in Music City celebration."

  In conjunction with the world record attempt, Dippin' Dots donated 400 servings of Dippin' Dots ice cream to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

  Ashley Monroe's debut solo album, "Like a Rose", was released to massive critical acclaim by USA Today, Associated Press, NPR, The Washington Post, The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times among many others. "Like a Rose" was named Rolling Stone's top country album of 2013.
