  Largest food truck parade: Magic City Casino breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)

MIAMI, FL, USA -- The Miami Food Trucks set the World Record for Largest Food Truck Parade after 62 colorful food trucks -- flanked by a police escort -- rolled through Miami and then for two miles around the casino, setting the world record for Largest food truck parade, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

 The Guinness world record for the most fuel-efficient 40 ton truck was set by the Mercedes Benz Actros, which uses 19,44 litres per 100 km (6.88 gal per 100 miles) under test drive conditions. It was tested at the High Speed Track of Nardò, Brindisi, Italy.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Longest career as an ice-cream man, set by Charlie D'Angelo of Clifton, New Jersey, USA, who has been working as an ice-cream man non-stop for 30 years since 1979 in his Iggy's Igloo ice-cream truck.

  According to Susy Ampuero, director of marketing for Magic City Casino, "We had to have a minimum of 50 food trucks. We had a record number of 62."

   Burger Beast Sef Gonzalez, who coordinated the event with Magic City Casino, said the parade was quite a sight. "We had a helicopter hovering over to film the event. People were running outside of buildings to stop and watch. It was amazing."

  After months of planning, the event went off without a hitch, even raising $1,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which assists children with cancer, The Miami New Times reported.

 "Even though we got rained out in the first hour, we still had about 8,000 people there enjoying the evening and the food trucks."
