 Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars: 964 Ferraris set world record (VIDEO)

Silverstone, UK -- 964 Ferrari cars (worth £100million) from all over the UK and further attended the Ferrari Driving Days event at Silverstone and paraded round the Silverstone circuit; Ferrari F1 driver Felipe Massa was on hand to lead the World's Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars in a 458 Spider , according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the largest parade of Ferrari cars is 490 and was achieved by Cornes & Company Limited at the Fuji Speedway Circuit, Shizuoka, Japan.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Most expensive car: $17,275,000 million (?12,000,000) for the vintage 1963 Ferrari 250 GT, sold to Chris Evans (UK).

  With a total of 493,150bhp from a combined 5,000 litres of displacement, the ensemble beat the previous Guinness world record of 490 cars, set in 2008 at the Fuji Speedway circuit in Japan.

  Felipe Massa was the guest of honour, leading the parade at the wheel of a 458 Spider.

  "It was a really unforgettable experience," commented the Scuderia Ferrari race driver, against a backdrop of the 800 cars. It's a great honour for me to be here for such a special event, with so many cars all brought together on one race track, which produced an unprecedented spectacle for all Prancing Horse fans."

   Ferrari donated £5 for every car in the parade to BEN, a British charity that supports employees from the motor industry and their families.

  An entire range of Ferrari cars were paraded, including the latest F12 Berlinetta, the most powerful road car every built by the Maranello marque.
