The Guinness world record for the heaviest truck pulled with an arm wrestling move weighed 8,721.6 kg (19,227.8 lb) and was achieved by René Richter (Czech Republic).
Guinness World Records also recognized
the Team truck pulling - one hour world record, set by a team of 20 Atlas Power Gym strongmen who pulled an articulated truck weighing 16,610 kg (36,620 lb) a record 5.52 km (3.43 miles) at Kenosha Municipal Airport, Wisconsin, USA.
Riding inside the truck were Shirlice Irick, manager of The Fitness Forum, and her two sons, Ryan & Benjamin Irick, bringing the gross weight of the truck and passengers to almost 6000 pounds.
The two-ton-plus pull was all done in the name of raising funds and awareness for the American Diabetes Association as part of te campaign "Pulling for the Cure."
According to Cochran, "It was a very encouraging day. Setting a world record in and of itself was amazing - but the support for the American Diabetes Association was fantastic!"
Cochran also adds that
consistency in his training as well as proper diet and
nutrition played a huge role in his success.

"After the first 15-20 minutes, the lactic acid buildup in my arms and extreme 'pump' made each pull more and more difficult."
The idea for a truck pull was the result of one of Cochran's training methods: the sled pull. "I thought it would be interesting to do a pull from a seated position and take the legs out of the equation."
Fitness Forum General Manager, Shirlice Irick, was enthusiastic about the community's involvement in the event."We are very civic-minded and proud to be part of both a world record attempt and raising the awareness of diabetes. Watching Greg pull that truck for an hour was a testament to both his endurance and strength."
