  Largest working revolver: Ryszard Tobys breaks Guinness world record (VIDEO)

Piotrkowo Drugie, Poland -- Ryszard Tobys, of Piotrkowo Drugie, west-central Poland, has built a giant revolver, a replica of Remington model 1858, whose chamber holds six 136 gram bullets (4.8 ounces), and shoots with great accuracy at a range of up to 50 meters, setting the world record for the Largest working revolver, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

 The Guinness world record for the smallest working revolver has a calibre of 2.34 mm and measures 5.5 cm (2.2 in) long, 3.5 cm (1.4 in) high, 1 cm (0.4 in) wide and weighs 19.8 g (0.7 oz). The model C1ST is manufactured by SwissMiniGun (Switzerland) and fires the smallest live and blank rimfire ammunition.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest calibre guns ever mounted on a ship, set by the nine 45.7 cm (18 inch) guns installed on the Japanese battleships Yamato and Musashi. The shells weighed 1,452 kg (3,200 lb) and could be fired 43.5 km (27 miles).

  It took Mr Tobys around 2,500 hours to construct the world's largest working revolver, since most of the parts had to be built by hand.
