  Largest Parade of Pickup Trucks: Rural Radio breaks Guinness world record

Indianapolis, IN, USA -- In celebration of a new SiriusXM radio station called Rural Radio (channel 80), more than 500 pickup trucks, of every make and model, were on parade and display at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway; however, 386 officially met the strict requirements and parade standards as specified by Guinness World Records rules, setting the new world record for the Largest parade of Pickup trucks, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

 The Guinness World Records' record for the largest parade of convertibles is 121 cars and was organised by Col. Reb Custer (Germany) at the Trabrennbahn race track Dinslaken, Germany.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest parade of pickup trucks; it consisted of 386 vehicles, achieved by RFD-TV & Rural TV (both USA) at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.

  In addition to the World's Largest Parade of Pickup Trucks, more than 300 antique tractors were also on display and included in their own special infield parade.

  Spectators were in attendance from all 50 states, as well as several international visitors.

  Pickup trucks from more than 30 states were registered and represented in the parade.

  The event was held to honor Rural America, celebrate the "Year of the Farmer" and the the National FFA, and to help officially launch RURAL RADIO on SiriusXM channel 80.
