The previous Guinness World Record holder had mastered just 14 benches.

The Guinness world record for the most benches held between the teeth is 14 and was achieved by Guo Guozhi (China) on the set of Zheng Da Zong Yi - Guinness World Records Special in Beijing, China.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest picnic table; it measured 93.04 m (305 ft 3 in) and was achieved by Safeway (USA) in San Francisco, California, USA .

Li Hongxiao, 30, performed the stunt in front of amazed shoppers in Chongqing city centre.

The one metre long benches weighed a total of nearly 70kg.

The China-based Jinisi World Record Office issued a certificate to Li at the scene.

Hailing from Tianqiao village in Chongqing, Li began performing a 'lion dance' aged eight to earn money for his family.
Refining his sideshow act, he started to hold up objects such as bamboo poles, ladders and benches with his teeth in 2000.

31-year-old Li Hongxiao has been balancing objects in his mouth since he was little but refined his craft in 2000 when he started holding up bamboo poles and ladders.

Each bench was about three feet long, 1 1/2 feet high and weighed about seven pounds. So the combined weight was more than 150 pounds, about equal to how much Li weighs.
