  Largest human gender symbol: Philippine breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)

MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippines now holds another World Record, this time for gathering 10,168 people to form the largest human gender symbol, also known as the Venus symbol;
in celebration of the International Women's Day on March 8, 2014, Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) organized "Sulong Juana! Human Woman Symbol Formation", gathering 10,168 people to form the largest outdoor female symbol (largest human gender symbol),
according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest human national flag involved 43,830 participants and was achieved by Rotary International District 3230 and News 7 Tamil (both India) at the YMCA Grounds Nandanam in Chennai, India, on 7 December 2014.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest human Christmas tree; it consists of 2,945 participants and was achieved by the Government of Honduras in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on 1 December 2014.

   In celebration of the International Women's Day on March 8, 2014, PCW organized "Sulong Juana! Human Woman Symbol Formation" which sought to "celebrate women's resilience, strength and women's various roles in nation-building and their untiring participation as volunteers in times of disasters, conflicts, calamity and any other situations."

   Participants from government agencies, nongovernment organizations, and civil society groups flocked to Rizal Park to take part in the activity.

   The gathering, dubbed as the "Sulong Juana! Human Woman Symbol Formation" was a symbolic kick-off activity to celebrate women's resilience, strength and women's various roles in nation-building and their untiring participation as volunteers in times of disasters, conflicts, calamity and any other situations.
