  Largest game of duck duck goose: University of Central Oklahoma set world record

 EDMOND, OK, USA -- 1,634 students, faculty, staff and other members of the University of Central Oklahoma community converged on East Hall field, where they played a 15-minute game of duck-duck-goose - setting the new world record for Largest game of duck duck goose, according to World Record Academy (www.worldrecordacademy.com).

  The Guinness world record for the largest game of duck, duck, goose involved 1,415 participants at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest game of tunnel ball: it involved 120 students from St. Columba Primary School, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia .

  Duck-duck-goose is a traditional children's game in which the object is to walk in a circle, tapping on each child's head until one is finally chosen to be the new picker, or "goose."

  Celebrity players included new UCO President Don Betz, UCO Vice President for Student Affairs Kathryn Gage and Miss University of Central Oklahoma 2011 Rachel Hill, The Edmond Sun reported.

  The UCO cheer and pom squads, UCO athletes, members of the school's sorority and fraternity community and UCO mascot Buddy Broncho also participated in the event, which was part of the back-to-school Stampede Week.
