The Guinness world record for the largest truffle cake is 1,041 kg (2,295 lb) and was made by the Asociacion de pasteleros de Burgos to celebrate the centenary of CAJA CIRCULO in Plaza España, Burgos, Spain.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest pistachio marzipan sweet; it weighed 4.1984 tonnes (9,255 lb 14 oz) and was made by 225 chefs in an event organised by Spacetel Syria at Hamadanya Stadium, Aleppo, Syria.

Inspired by the 50-foot landmark tourist attraction outside Armadillo Palace, Green fashioned "Fred" from 472 red velvet cakes, 300 pounds of powdered sugar, 250 blocks of cream cheese, 250 blocks of butter and 300 pounds of chocolate and vanilla fondant.

The World's Largest Armadillo Cake, able to feed 5,000 people, took 16 hours to construct and cost almost $10,000.

"Cake is my life, what can I say," Green said.
