Most flavours of ice cream displayed: Matt and Mike Casarez set world record
Black Hawk, CO, USA -- After experimenting with unique ice cream concoctions in a three-quart mixer in the kitchen of Crook's Palace in Black Hawk, Matt and Mike Casarez have listed 1,001 varieties they had on display - setting the new world record for the Most flavours of ice cream displayed.

The Guinness world record for the most varieties of ice cream displayed together is 521 by the UPA Gelatieri Padova, Italy.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest chain of people licking ice cream: 2,694 participants at an event organised by Augustana College (USA) in Rock Island, Illinois, USA
.
"I have a passion for food and so does my brother," says Matt. "When we started our restaurant, we wanted to do everything homemade -- bacon, corned beef, bread. We followed suit with ice cream."
"Once we realized we could make any flavor we wanted successfully, my brother had the idea to break the Guinness world record because we knew we could do it," Matt explains.
Now that they've reached that milestone, they're expanding their ice cream business, albeit mostly in wholesale form at first: The brothers have started making ice cream for Sushi Den, and they're working on getting it into other restaurants, too.
