   Largest breakfast in bed: Shanghai hotel breaks Guinness World Records record

SHANGHAI, China -- A total of 388 people gathered at the Shangri-La Pudong Hotel to break a previous Guinness World records world record of 288 breakfast eaters set in Australia in 2012; the event was held inside the Grand Ballroom at the Shangri-La Pudong Hotel and sets the new world record for the Largest breakfast in bed (Most people eating breakfast in bed), and was orchestrated by the More Than Aware organization, which aims to bring more money and research to the cause of defeating breast cancer,

The Guinness World Records' record for the most people eating breakfast in bed is 289 and was achieved by Priceline and Women's Health (Australia) in Sydney, NSW, Australia on 2 March 2012.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for for the largest full breakfast attendance; it involved 51,793 participants and was organised by Van Ticaret ve Sanayi Odasi (Turkey) at Atatürk Kültür Park, in Van, Turkey, on 1 June 2014.


    The feat, which involved hundreds of people eating croissants, noodles and fruit in unison, set a World Record for largest breakfast in bed, breaking a previous Guinness World Records in 2012 when 288 people with the Association of Women's Health in Australia ate under the sheets together.

    The event was held inside the Grand Ballroom at the Shangri-La Pudong Hotel and was orchestrated by the More Than Aware organization, which aims to bring more money and research to the cause of defeating breast cancer.

   "We are so grateful for this team that we call family, and their dedication to amplify our message of prevention and recovery of breast cancer."

   The diners included volunteers with the charity and members of the Shanghai Breast Cancer Recovery Club, known as "Thrivers."
