  Fastest car wheel change: German team breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

KLETTWITZ, Germany -- Four mechanics from German automotive parts and repairs company kfzteile24 have set a new World Record for changing all four wheels on a road car without the aid of powered tools – their time of 59.62 seconds obliterated the previous Guinness World Records world record – set by another German team – of one minute 23.85 seconds, according to the World Record Academy .

The Guinness World Records' record for the most cars washed in eight hours at multiple venues is 6,277 and was achieved by Repco Australia and New Zealand (Australia/New Zealand), across 89 stores in Australia and New Zealand, on 27 October 2012.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest simultaneous car tyre burn-out ; it involved 103 cars in an event organised by Street Machine Summernats at the Street Machine Summernats 28 event in Canberra, Australia, on 1 January 2015.

    The team – made up of Marco Herzlieb, Denis Werner, Gordon Neumann and Florian Walkenhors – set the new record during a special side event at the German Touring Car Masters (DTM) race at Lausitzring in Klettwitz, Germany.

   With tools ready and the start signal given by a Guinness World Records 'adjudicator', the quartet set to work. In less than a minute, they dismounted all four steel wheels on a Ford Focus and mounted new ones, besting the previous record by an impressive 24.23 seconds.
