  Largest coffee mosaic: Budapest sets world record

BUDAPEST, Hungary -- Sztarold.hu, Hungary's most intelligent news portal - in hungarian called hírkeres? -, and the Corvinus Business School - MBA program for students, collaborated to create a giant coffee mosaic, made of 6,400 cups of coffee, in a pattern forming the logo of the intelligent news portal; it covered 8 m x 8 m (26.15 ft x 26.25 ft), setting the new world record for the Largest coffee mosaic, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the largest coffee mosaic consisted of 5,642 cups of coffee in different shades and depicted the face of Elvis Presley. It was created by DFS Hawaii at the DFS Galleria Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii.

 Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest toast mosaic: it measured 128.05 m² (1,378.31 ft²) and was achieved by Laura Hadland and with the help of 27 friends at Parr Hall, The Pyramid Centre, Warrington.

 The size of the world's largest coffee mosaic is a space of 8 m x 8 m (26.15 ft x 26.25 ft). Each coffee cup contained at least 250ml of coffee and milk.

  According to a Konrad Wetzker, Director of Corvinus School of Management, "The mosaic consists of 6,400 cups of coffee in different shades. The caffeinated creation depicted a star with tick which is a logo of the famous news site sztarold.hu friss hírek. The symbol represents the infinity of MBA, and infinitude of news as well."

  Mr. Tom Lajtos, CEO of Sztarold.hu, stated, "The news, as well as the school is borderless, since there are tens of nations studying in Budapest Corvinus Business School. The coffee picture shows a . HU letters as well, showing the world, that the new world record is resident in Budapest, Hungary from the end of September 2012. The domain indicator for Hungarian websites is . HU. This element is a part of the mosaic."
