The Guinness World Records' record for the tallest rideable bicycle is "Stoopidtaller" which measures 6.15 m (20 ft 2.5 in) and was built by Richie Trimble (USA) and measured in Los Angeles, California, USA. The measurement is taken from the ground to the handlebars, and the bicycle must be successfully ridden a distance of 100 m (328 ft 1 in).

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most participants in a cycling event; it is 48,615 for Udine Pedala 2000 organised by Rolo Banca 1473 at Udine, Italy on 11 June 2000. The cyclists completed a circuit measuring 29.3 km (18.2 miles) around Udine.

Why does he do it? Trimble answers, "I do it to see people smile. You can't help but make someone laugh when you're riding a bike that's over six meters tall. From that height, you can see people laughing, pointing, and smiling from a distance. It's almost like a high—maybe it's the altitude," chuckled record breaker Trimble.

Reflecting on his accomplishment, Trimble said, "I promised myself and others that I was going to break the world record and bring it back to LA where the world record belongs."

And what is next? Trimble is already hard at work planning another world record breaker.
