   Most tractors of the same brand working simultaneously: Ferguson breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)


Burt, Co Donegal, Ireland -- A total of 800 Irish farmers on Ferguson tractors crammed on to land on the An Grianan Estate in Burt, Co Donegal, to well and truly beat the Guinness World Records' record of 386, set in New South Wales, Australia for the Most tractors of the same brand working simultaneously
, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .
A total of 800 of them on Ferguson tractors crammed on to land on the An Grianan Estate in Burt, Co Donegal, to well and truly beat the Guinness World Record. The previous figure stood at 386, set in New South Wales, Australia. Thousands of people from across the country and as far away as America came to witness the event.

The Guinness World Records' record for the Most tractors of the same brand working simultaneously was set by a total of 385 Ferguson tractors tilled the soil together at the Plough and Be Counted 2 event at Cootamundra, New South Wales, Australia, on 11 April 2004.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest parade of classic tractors; it consisted of 964 tractors, achieved by RFD-TV & Rural TV (both USA) at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island, Nebraska, USA.


   Hundreds of Irish farmers were outstanding in their own field as they broke a Guinness World Records' world record, The Irish Mirror reported.

  A total of 800 of them on Ferguson tractors crammed on to land on the An Grianan Estate in Burt, Co Donegal, to well and truly beat the Guinness World Record.

  All proceeds from this event went to the Sean O'Hare Unit in Stranorlar for people with intellectual and learning disabilities.

   Burt (Irish: An Bheart) is a parish in County Donegal, Ireland, situated on the main road between Letterkenny and Derry, Northern Ireland.
