  Longest moving line of wheelchairs: New Zealand breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)

AUCKLAND, Australia -- A total of 247 able and disabled took part at Mt Smart Stadium in the record of the longest continuous line of moving wheelchairs – blowing away the previous Guinness World Records' world record of 193; the stunt for the Book of World Records title was also a celebration of the international day of persons with disability and sets the
new world record for the Longest moving line of wheelchairs, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the longest moving line of wheelchairs was achieved by 193 participants in an event organized by Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation (USA) at Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles, California, USA, on 25 July 2010.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest wheelchair logo consisted of 346 participants and was achieved by Hope Inc. (USA) in Moorhead, Minnesota, USA, documented on the show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on 8 October 2010.

 A total of 247 able and disabled took part in the rather unusual record of the longest continuous line of moving wheelchairs – blowing away the previous world record of 193.

   To break the Guinness World Records' record the wheelers had to move around Mt Smart Stadium race track in single file for two minutes without stopping.

   The previo u s Guinness World Records' record of 193 in a continuous line of moving wheelchairs was set by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation in Los Angeles.
