The Guinness World Records' record for the Largest tilting ship was set by The Floating Instrument Platform, or FLIP, which is a 108 m (355 ft) long oceanic research barge that is able to float 'upright' with 17 m (55 ft) of its length above the ocean surface and 91 m (300 ft) below. The vessel rotates through 90° by flooding large ballast tanks. As these sink, FLIP's buoyant end -which contains accommodation for the 16 crew and their research equipment - rises.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Largest gaming vessel, set by The Legend, which owned by Caesars, Indiana, USA and based at Bridgeport, Indian, is the largest riverboat casino in the world with an overall gaming space of 8,640m (93,000ft)and the capacity to hold 5,324 passengers.

Höegh Target is the first in a series of six Post Panamax vessels under the company's New Horizon design.

The remaining five PCTCs in the series are expected for delivery throughout the next 18 months.

The vessel has a higher door opening than Höegh Autoliners' current vessels, enabling cargo up to 6.5 metres high and 12 metres wide to be loaded.

Extra ramp strength allows for cargo weighing up to 375 tonnes to be loaded over the stern ramp and 22 tonnes over the side ramp.

Höegh Target will service East Asia – Europe trade.
