The previous Guinness world record for the
largest parade of hybrid cars was 140 during and event organised by Toyota Belgium (Belgium) at Tervuren, Belgium.

Guinness World Records also recognized the Largest parade of camping vehicles (RVs), set by 672 camping vehicles (RVs) which took part in a parade organised by the Camper Club La Granda at Canelli, Italy .

Hybrid enthusiasts were there from Ohio, Florida, Texas, Colorado, Georgia and Quebec, said Paul Cooley, Smart Motors' showroom manager, who organized the event.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal:
"The parade consisted mostly of second-generation Priuses produced for the 2004 to 2009 model years.

"There were newer and older Priuses, along with the occasional Toyota Camry, Honda Insight or Civic, Ford Escape SUV, and Lexus. Touted as the "quietest parade ever," some of the vehicles honked their horns on the route."
