Largest ATV parade-world record set by the ATV Association of Minnesota

SILVER BAY, Minn., USA -- The All-Terrain Vehicle Association of Minnesota ( ATVAM ) lined up 1,632 ATVs. which formed a parade along Minnesota's North Shore-setting the new world record for the Largest ATV parade .
After hours of counting, parade chairwoman Les Schermerhorn said 1,632 ATVs participated - shattering the old record of 1,138, set in 2006 in Kentucky.

In 2008, ATVAM made its first attempt at breaking the World Record but fell short by only 55 ATV's. The official count for the parade was 1,083 ATV's (three wheelers and side x sides did not count towards the record).

The event had so many people that organizers said they needed to ride 5 miles just to get everyone on the trail at the same time.

In addition to the ride, participants were asked to bring a donation to the Silver Bay food shelf.

The ATV Association of Minnesota ( ATVAM ) is a grass-roots, non-profit organization established in 1983 and currently has over 12,000 members and 70 local clubs dedicated to responsible ATV use, safety, and the development of a sustainable ATV trail system in Minnesota.

There are over 300,000 registered ATV’s in Minnesota and it is our goal to make sure ATVers have places to ride responsibly. More information is available about ATVAM at www.ATVAM.org
