  Tightest car parallel parking: Alistair Moffatt has reclaimed his Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)

BIRMINGHAM, UK -- Stunt driver Alistair Moffatt has reclaimed his Guinness World Records' record for Tightest Parallel Park, during the Performance Car Show at the Autosport International Racing Car Show, NEC Birmingham; using a Fiat 500C 1.2 Cult, Moffatt was able to slide into a spot between a Fiat 500S and a Fiat 500C Colour Therapy special edition with just 7.5cm to spare, setting the new world record for the Tightest car parallel parking, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the tightest parallel park is 8 cm (3.15 inch) and was achieved by Han Yue (China) using the MINI 3 Door Hatch during the "China Drift Championship" held in Chongqing, China, on 14 November 2014.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the tightest parallel parking in reverse; it is 35 cm (13.77 in) and was achieved by Ronny Wechselberger aka Ronny C' Rock (Germany) on the set of Guinness World Records - Wir holen den Rekord nach Deutschland (RTL2), at Flugplatz Kindel in Eisenach, Germany, on 18 June 2012.

   According to Moffatt, "It's wonderful to have my record back! With the gap getting ever smaller, finding the right vehicle is increasingly important, so the light weight, agility, dimensions and parking-friendly shape of the Fiat 500 makes it perfect to getting into even the tightest parking spots."

    The new record beat the previous world record of 8cm which was set in November of last year.

    Alastair previously held the Guinness World Records' record for the Tightest Parallel Park at 8.6cm and also has records for Tightest Double Parallel Park and Tightest Triple Parallel Park.
