Tightest 360 Degree Spin: Alastair Moffatt broke Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

BIRMINGHAM, UK -- Stunt-driver Alastair Moffatt broke his own 2.5-metre Guinness World Records world record by flicking the Subaru BRZ into a 360° spin between two obstacles in Autosport International's Live Action Arena, thus setting the new world record for the Tightest 360 Degree Spin, according to the World Record Academy .

Alastair Moffat, former world record holder, was behind the wheel of the Subaru BRZ, and by managing to completely spin the car a 2.25-meter (88.6 in) gap, he broke the previous 2.5-meter (98 in) Guinness World Record, achieved in 2014.

The Guinness World Records world record for the most consecutive donuts (spins) whilst stood on the roof of the car is 52 and was achieved by Alberto Aires Wierzbicki (Brasil) in Pinhais, Paraná, Brasil, on 12 August 2012.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most consecutive donuts (spins) in a car; it is 280 and was achieved by Jamie Morrow (UK) driving a Westfield Sport 1600 at the Silverstone Race Circuit in Bedfordshire, UK, on 4 September 2011. The record attempt was made at "Trax - The Ultimate Performance Car Event" in front of an estimated audience of 5,000 people.

Alastair Moffatt managed to squeeze the 4.24-meter-long Subaru BRZ in the gap that allowed only 2.25 meters of clearance.

The stunt took place at Autosport International's Live Action Arena during the 2016 Autosport Show.

To perform the maneuver, Alastair turned off the car's traction control and disabled the ABS in order to make the BRZ more tail happy. He was doing around 30 miles per hour (48 kilometers per hour) before he performed the 360-degree spin.

Moffatt has previously set the Guinness World Record for the Tightest Reverse Parallel Park and the Tightest Parallel Park.
