Longest skateboard stationary manual - world record set by Aaron Shirazi

DEL CITY, Okla., USA -- Aaron Shirazi, 18, of Del City, did a stationary manual on a skateboard (a wheelie on a skateboard, balancing on one set of wheels, performed in one spot) for 1 minute 21 seconds - setting the new world record for the Longest skateboard stationary manual .

The previous Guinness world record for the Longest skateboard stationary manual was 49.09 seconds, performed by Rob Dyrdek in 2007 when the pro skateboarder broke 21 skateboard records during the filming of a TV show.

A stationary manual is basically a wheelie on a skateboard, you know, balancing on one set of wheels. It’s performed in one spot, not while the skateboard is rolling, hence the "stationary.”

Aaron Shirazi is a Del City 18-year-old who works at a restaurant, is a senior in high school and plans to be a journalist.

On an earlier attempt, Shirazi held on for 55 seconds.

"It’s worth a shot to make it official,” Shirazi said. "It would be pretty cool to be in the Book of World Recordss.”
