  Largest Zumba class: Philippines breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

Mandaluyong City, Philippines -- Mandaluyong City broke the existing Guinness World Recods world record of 8,232 participants by more than 4,000 people with 12,975 people filling the streets of the city to dance; the thousands of health enthusiasts simultaneously danced to high tempo music along the main streets of Mandaluyong city, metro Manila,
setting the new world record for the Largest Zumba class, according to the World Record Academy .

The previous Guinness World Records' record for the largest Zumba® dance was 8,232 and was achieved by Cebuzin (Philippines), in Cebu, Philippines, on 18 October 2014.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest Zumbatomic® class; it involved 2,117 participants, achieved by Jennifer Ward and the Warrick County School Corporation (both USA) in Newburgh, Indiana, USA, on 19 September 2014.

     The attempt smashed the previous Guinness World Records world record set in the Filipino city of Cebu, some 843km away from Mandaluyong.

     That effort, set in 2014, involved an impressive 8,232 health enthusiasts.

     Participants danced to the loud, up-beat music of the dance-fitness workout regime wearing matching bright-yellow Zumba t-shirts.
