  Largest parade of kitesurfers: Spain breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)

Los Lances Beach, Tarifa, Spain -- An "armada" of 352 kitesurfers in southern Spain breaks the Guinness World Records' record for the largest kitesurfing parade across one nautical mile; despite the wind the army of 352 boarders - made up of professionals and amateurs - went on to break the Guinness World Records' record for the largest on-mass kite surf, beating the previous record of 318 participants, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest parade of kite surfers consists of 352 participants and was achieved by Virgin Kitesurfing Armada (UK) at the Best Pro Center in Tarifa, Spain, on 31 August 2014.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest distance kitesurfing in 24 hours; it is 645.6 km (401.2 miles) and was achieved by Rimas Kinka (Lithuania), off the coast of Islamorada, Florida, USA, on 26 February 2012.

    A strong eastern wind which peaked at 27 knots presented serious challenges for the boarders shoring up at the end of the course.

  Despite the wind the army of boarders - made up of professionals and amateurs - went on to break the Guinness World Records' record for the largest on-mass kite surf, beating the previous record of 318 participants which was set in 2013.
