The Guinness world record for the fastest 10 km sack race is 1 hr 22 min 2 sec and was set by Ashrita Furman (USA) in Montauk, New York, USA.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the fastest 10 km while juggling with three objects, set by Michal Kapral (Canada) who jogged a distance of 10 km while juggling 3 beanbags without dropping them in 36 min 27 sec at the Longboat Toronto Island Run, Toronto, Canada.

Despite unfavourable conditions, Dougalachieved the target with a record time of 32minutes 26seconds at the New Balance Hill Free event.

The big difference in his successful world record attempt was his plan to push his Chariot Child Carrier with his 2½ year old daughter Audrey inside.

In order to beat the current Gunness world record and especially for his daughter's safety, he needed to have a highly durable& high performance running pram.

A special mention for Audrey is needed – 2½ year olds are not always keen to go along with the plan, but young Audrey's performance was "fantastic".
Aside from a few requests to adjust the weather cover, she enjoyed munching her morning tea, looking at the cows on the side of the road and even having a little sleep.

That has to be a good result for 'child comfort' in a Chariot with the suspension and weather protection doing their jobs nicely running at high speeds in windy conditions and on gravel roads.

Dougal has put in a huge effort here and it is important to remember his simple message about sustainable transport.
