They gave up their marketing jobs in London and started their new "career". Six months later they have finished the last leg of their trip in Australia with an aboriginal ceremony in Queensland - adorned with face paint and cockatoo feathers. These included swimming in a lagoon surrounded by tropical fish and a friendly shark, a Castaway-themed cliff top wedding at Thala Beach lodge and roller skating in Brisbane. Mark and Denise Duffield-Thomas won a trip to ten countries across four continents after RunawayBrideandGroom.com appealed for "honeymoon testers". They were asked to attempt to break the Guinness world record for most wedding vows , which previously stood at 83. As part of the "job" they travel the world check out romantic destinations, write a daily 300-word blog, and write for the Irish Times newspaper. Over 15,000 couples applied for the job. Australia's Queensland was the last stop on their trip and the pair managed to seal the new record in a traditional Aboriginal ceremony in Tjapukai cultural park near Cairns. Their 85th wedding won them a place in the Guinness World Records but, while they are going back to their day jobs for now, they are not totally against the idea of yet another wedding.
