Most combines harvesting at once: Harvest 4 Kids sets world record
Saskatoon, Canada -- Saskatchewan farmers united just north of Dalmeny (about 25 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon) with their combines; it took 245 combines about 12 minutes to reap about 200 acres of oats,
setting the new world record for the most combines harvesting in a single field,
according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the most combine harvesters working simultaneously on a single field is 200 and was achieved by Harvest for Kids with Children's Camps International in the Rural Municipality of Stanley near Winkler, Manitoba, Canada, on 7 August 2010.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Largest collection of cow-related items, set by Denise Tubangui, 50, who have 2,270 cow-related items in her collection.
About 120 volunteers worked at the fun day that featured old-fashioned threshing demonstrations, with horses, wooden wagons and loudly puttering vintage tractors, "The Star Phoenix" reported.
Children had free horse rides and families sat on rectangular hay bales watching a play about Saskatchewan's past as they waited for the main event.
A mile-long line of combines waited side by side at the end of swaths of cut oats, while a second line, half as long, faced them.
A path between the two opposing lines filled with spectators on foot, most ready to record the happening on cameras and cell-phones.
Harvest For Kids Saskatchewan is an evangelical Christian fundraiser for children's Bible camps in developing countries.
