  Longest line of toothpaste tubes: Parkway South High School breaks Guinness World Record (VIDEO)

MANCHESTER, MO, USA -- Students at Parkway South High School lined up 1,776 tubes on the school's football field in an attempt to break the standing Guinness World Records' world record for longest consecutive line of toothpaste, which was 1,688 tubes; they beat the old record by 112 tubes and set the new world record for the Longest line of toothpaste tubes, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The previous Guinness World Records' record for the longest line of toothpaste tubes is 1,688 and was created by Procter and Gamble Oral Care in Evian-les-Bains, France, on 26 June 2014.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest tube of toothpaste; it measures 2.957 m (9.7 ft) long and weighs 780 kg (1,719 lb). It was made for the Zhonghua toothpaste brand by Unilever in Shanghai City, China and was unveiled on 20 September 2005.

    Parkway South High School is a public comprehensive high school in Manchester, St. Louis County, Missouri that is part of the Parkway School District.

   The students lined the toothpaste tubes they have collected end-to-end in an attempt to break the standing Guinness World Records' world record for longest consecutive line of toothpaste, which they say is 1,688 tubes.

   The students lined up 1,776 tubes on the school's football field to become official record holders before delivering the tubes to Circle of Concern.
