   Heaviest firework: Japan breaks Guinness World Records' record (VIDEO)


KONOSU, Japan -- A crowd of around 600,000 people gathered at a festival in Konosu City, Japan, to see the rocket which weighed 460kg and measured 120cm around; they watched more than 15,000 explosions before a record-breaking finale, the main event was a 460kg rocket measuring 120cm around, which shot into an empty sky before bursting into a display around 800m in diameter,
setting the new world record for the Heaviest firework, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .
 A new world record has been set for the heaviest firework, which was set off in the city of Konosu in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The firework, weighing a total of 460 kg, was set off as part of a festival in the city. The rocket fired into the air and exploded into a ball of light estimated to measure 800 meters in diameter, while illuminating the sky.

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest firework display consisted of 479,651 fireworks and was achieved by Dubai Government at Palm Jumeirah Island and The World Islands in Dubai, UAE, on 31 December 2013.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest chocolate firework; it was made by Nestlé, measuring 3 m (9.8 ft) high and 1.5 m (4.9 ft) in diameter and containing 60 kg (132 lb) of Swiss Cailler chocolates. The firework was released at the Hechtplatz, Zürich, Switzerland on 31 December 2002. The chocolate firework was lit and it exploded, releasing the 60 kg (132 lb) of chocolates.

   A crowd of around 600,000 people watched the world's heaviest ever firework explode in a spectacular flower of light.

  Gathered at a festival in Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture - to the north west of Tokyo - they watched more than 15,000 explosions before a record-breaking finale.

  The main event was a 460kg rocket measuring 120cm around, which shot into an empty sky before bursting into a display around 800m in diameter.

   Roughly translated, the name of the firework was 'Four Feet Ball'.
