"It really was a very serious academic study," she explains to Dotun Adebayo on Up All Night.
"It wasn't just about the lyrics. It was about everything else surrounding; the structure, the syntax and all of these different elements that go into making these songs."
The Guinness world record for thelargest collection of Beatles memorabiliais owned by Rodolfo Renato Vazquez (Argentina) who had 5,612 individual items of Beatle-related memorabilia housed in the attic of his home in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Guinness World Records also named theFastest selling albumThe Beatles album titled 1, which sold a record 13.5 million copies around the world in its first month, 3.6 million of which on its first day alone.
The discipline is noted as Beatles, Popular Music and Society and takes a look the studio sound and composistion of the Beatles music and also look at how the Beatles were able to use their lives growing up in Liverpool as inspiration for their music.
The founder and leader of the MA, Mike Brocken, is proud of the fact that course graduates course will join the ranks of scholars of Popular Music Studies: "who are able to offer fresh and thought-provoking insights into the discipline of musicology."
Upon graduating, Ms Zahalan-Kennedy said "I am so proud of my achievement. The course was challenging, enjoyable and it provided a great insight into the impact the Beatles had and still have to this day across all aspects of life."
