The Guinness world record for the fastest 10 m (32.81 ft) by a guinea pig was achieved by Flash, who ran the distance in 8.81 seconds, in London, UK.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for guinea pig high-jump; it belongs to Puckel Martin who jumped 20 cm (7.8 in) on 16 March 2003. Puckel Martin is owned by Madde Herrman (Sweden) of Vargön, Sweden.

Truffle became an international superstar back in March when his 30cm lunge from one box to another was recognised as a world best.

Truffles's owner Chloe Macari, 14, revealed that he jumps to reach kale, which is his favourite snack.

'It's been quite a battle, there have been over 25 different entries since Truffles set his 30cm record and one even jumped 45cm, so he had his work cut out for him,' said Angela Macari, of Rosyth in Fife, whose 14-year-old daughter, Chloe, owns Truffles.

'But he got back in training and we eventually managed to get him jumping 48cm on video camera – it's fantastic. Truffles is starting to age now though, he's four years old, so he's in retirement.'
