The Guinness world record for the most lit jack-o-lanterns displayed in one location is 30,128 at an event organized by Camp Sunshine at the Life is Good Pumpkin Festival in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest line of pies, which measured 161.75 m (530 ft 8 in) and was achieved by Randall D. Fox (USA) as part of the Chastain Park Arts Festival, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

The All New England Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off at the Topsfield Fair will forever be known as the place where the world's first 1-ton pumpkin was weighed, as Ron Wallace of Greene, R.I., shattered a world record set at the Deerfield Fair only 24 hours before.

Wallace took home $5,500 for first place, plus a $10,000 bonus for being the first to break the one-ton barrier.

"It's a great world record," said James O'Brien, the fair's general manager.

"Topsfield has had a lot of world records, but this one is special."

The previous world pumpkin record had been set only a day earlier at a fair in Deerfield, N.H., with a weight of 1,843 1/2 pounds.
