  Most books published by a Radio Sports commentator: Ilie Dobre sets world record

BUCHAREST, Romania -- Ilie Dobre, sports commentator for the Radio Romania News
(Romania's National State Radio) author of books and multiple record holder, wrote and published 42 books in almost all the literary genres, setting the world record for the Most books published by a Radio Sports commentator, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

 The Guinness world record for the most books donated to charity in seven days is 657,061 and was achieved by the Rotary Clubs of Jamaica from 1 to 8 May 2010.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most books signed by one author in a single session; it is 1,951 by the ex-World Champion in chess Anatoli Karpov (Russia) who signed "El Camino de una Voluntad" by David Llada and Anatoli Karpov during the Third Mexico City Chess Festival in Mexico.

   Ilie Dobre declared: "I started writing in 1992 for the first book about Dobrin, one of the greatest football players in the country and in the world.

  "I had in my blood the passion to write, but for the beginning, I was hoping to publish two or three books. Taking into account that the first book had a lot of success, I could not stop writing until I approached all the literary genres, starting with the romanced biographies and ending with the novels.

  He has broadcasted live soccer matches fron the national league, european matchs, games played at final tournaments, World and European Championships. "I'm doing this for about 30 years, almost 1300 games."

  "I wrote in a hurry all the time and I succeeded to publish three or four books each year. I wrote mostly in the evening and during the night, because during the day I was busy with the activity from the radio. I wrote only out of passion, the published books did not bring me much material benefits."

   A radio listener commented on a sport forum: "with respect for Ilie Dobre one of the few people who really put their soul in what they are doing.
   "It is one thing just to like what you do and another thing to put your soul into that; he is not my favorite commentator, but I am always in a good mood when I listen to him."

   The sports radio journalist and writer Ilie Dobre donated thousands of free books in schools, libraries, and hostels, to simple people both in the country and abroad, to the football fans.

   "Ilie Dobre attracts my attention by his indisputable literary talent, by his objectivity but especially by his adolescent enthusiasm, so disinterested in any material benefit," University Professor Doru Popovici.

   "The book about Marius Lacatus is presented with the same writing enthusiasm, the same documentary minuteness, the same catching love for football and the great stars of the turf", wrote the newspaper 'The Truth.'

   "We published at our publishing house more than half of the number of books of the famous sports commentator Ilie Dobre, from Radio Romania. When an author receives references from one of the most famous Romanian writers, in our case Fanus Neagu, Grigore Vieru, Radu Cosasu, the success really seems certain.
   "The books of the commentator Ilie Dobre, published at the publishing house Parallel 45, were always received with favorable remarks. What example could be more eloquent than the fact that "The Prince Trivale, at the last dribbling "(Gicu Dobrin) was published until now in 4 editions, declared Calin Vlasie, manager for the Publishing House "Paralela 45."

   Ilie Dobre has received a National Award from the Romanian President.

  "We appreciated the fact that Mr. Dobre managed to publish in a very short lapse of time, a record number of books, with diversified themes: novels, romanced biographies of the greatest Romanian personalities of sport – Cristian Gatu, Cornel Otelea, Stefan Birtalan, Nicolae Dobrin, and many others, the radiographies of the final tournaments of the World and European Football Championships," declared Andreea Mihai, Marketing Director , Carrefour Romania SA.
