 Most people inside soap bubble: Fan Yang breaks world record

Vancouver, BC, Canada--The internationally renowned artist Fan Yang racked up his 18th World Record by encapsulating 181 people in a giant 50-metre long, four-metre high soap bubble at Vancouver's Science World , according to the World Record Academy.

The Guinness world record for the most people inside a soap bubble is 125 and was achieved by Jakub Bochenek (Poland) of TUBAN at the Targi Kielce fair complex in Kielce, Poland.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people washing their hands: 37,809 - at an event organised by Lifebuoy Team and the federal government of Nigeria at TBS Onikan in Lagos, Nigeria.

  "It was a huge challenge, I'm very excited," said Yang.

 "This is such a huge bubble, really once in a lifetime. I had to prepare for six months because it's such a unique system."

  The display, guided by Fang's delicate hands at the control of a pulley system and six months of preparation, only lasted a few seconds but was enough to land him yet another triumphant world record.

  Yang has always been fascinated by bubbles. "Bubbles first, are a liquid, a gas, is a beautiful media to watch, it's reflecting and absorbing the lights, and it's very nice to work with because you can create art," he said.
