 Most people contributing to the same manuscript: Orange Romania sets world record

BUCHAREST, Romania -- A group of 304 Orange Romania employees, recognized as talents inside the company and part of a talent development program, Acceleration Lab, gathered to write about a special experience from their professional life

  All participants to this record were evaluated and recognized as being talents, based on their constantly high performance and on their professional potential.

The Guinness world record for the Most expensive manuscript that is illustrated was set by an illustrated manuscript by Leonardo da Vinci (Italy) known as the Codex Hammer (or Codex Leicester as it has been renamed back to its original title) in which he predicted the invention of the submarine and the steam engine; it sold for a record $30,802,500 (£19,246,489) at Christie's, New York, USA.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the Oldest surviving star chart on manuscript, set by the Dunhuang Chinese Sky star chart, dating back to c. AD 649–684.

  "This new world record is a great way to mark the graduation of our talent development program and helps sharing beautiful stories, special experiences from the participants professional life within Orange Romania. I believe that together with our talented employees we can break more records for the benefits of our customers", said Jean-François Fallacher, the CEO of Orange Romania.

  At the Acceleration Lab celebration event, the graduates were invited to write about a special experience from their professional life within Orange Romania, contributing to the Orange Experiences book, to highlight the fact that together the talented employees can achieve great, innovative things.

  "This world record is meant to be an unique and memorable closure of a significant learning experience in the professional career of the graduates and a model established for those who will join the group of talented employees in the future," said Corina Ghiatau, Organizational Development Consultant in Orange Romania HR team, one of the event organizers.

  Acceleration Lab started two years ago, it has included over 450 graduates until now and it is a step in a broader talent management program developed by Orange Romania.

  Its goal is to cultivate the potential of employees having the necessary amount of ambition, credibility and capacity to do more than it is required by their current position in the company.

  All participants to the program chose one of the four development paths – Innovation, Project Management, Process Management and People Management – based on their individual potential and career interests and consequently they were enrolled in a 6-days training, in which they practiced the principles of the chosen domain together with colleagues from most divers departments, hierarchical layers and professional levels of expertise.
