Most dreidels spinning simultaneously: Tel Aviv breaks Guinness World Records' record
TEL AVIV, Israel -- Nearly 800 people gathered in Israel to break the Guinness World Records' record for most dreidels spinning simultaneously; the group, which included Member of Knesset Tzipi Livni, the country's former justice minister, attempted to spin about 1,000 of the traditional Hanukkah tops at Tel Aviv's Sarona shopping center Sunday and a total 754 dreidels kept spinning for the required 10 seconds,
setting the new world record for Most people spinning simultaneously,

The previous Guinness World Records' record for the most dreidles spinning simultaneously for at least 10 seconds is 734, and was achieved by United Synagogue Youth (USA), in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, on 28 December 2011.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people spinning a basketball simultaneously; it was achieved by 104 participants in an event organised by Cheshire Jets Basketball Club at Ellesmere Port Catholic High in Chester, UK, on 26 July 2009. Log book was used for the counting.
Some 754 dreidels spun simultaneously for 10 seconds in a row at the Sarona Market complex in Tel Aviv. Among those taking part in the record-breaking attempt, monitored by officials from Guinness World Records, was Israeli Justice Minister Tzipi Livni.
All of the dreidels were provided by Draydel House, a store known for creating luxury ceramic dreidels and themselves record holders for one of the largest dreidels in the world.
The record attempt was organized in conjunction with the "Sevivon House," a store in Sarona Market. Participants varied in age, from 8-year-olds to seniors, standing alongside a 200 meter-long table set up for the holiday world record-setting occasion.
