  Largest toy pistol fight: Mount Royal University breaks Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

Calgary, AB, Canada -- Members of the university ski club succeeded in their mission to break the Guinness World Records record for the world's largest toy pistol fight; the previous Guinness World Records record set in 2010 at Washington University in St. Louis, MO in 2010 with 462 people; MRU shattered that record with 601 gunslingers — both students and members of the public, setting the new world record for the Largest toy pistol fight, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the largest toy pistol fight involved 461 students from Washington University in St. Louis (USA) at the Danforth University Center, St. Louis, MO, USA, on 20 November 2010. Each student was issued with a toy gun and three bullets. The students were didivded into two sides and the fight lasted over five minutes.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest pillow fight; it consisted of 4,201 participants and was organized by Super 8 (USA) in Brookings, South Dakota, USA, on 22 November 2014.

   The previous Guinness World Records record set in 2010 at Washington University in St. Louis, MO in 2010 with 462 people. MRU shattered that record with 601 gunslingers — both students and members of the public.

   Participants were encouraged to donate to the Michael Huras Memorial Scholarship fund, named in honour of the ski club co-founder who passed away last fall.
