String instrument tamburitza is a member
of the family of long-necked lutes popular in Eastern and
Southeastern Europe, particularly in Slavonia in Croatia.
The world's Largest Tamburitza Orchestra
features 100 of the
most-prominent tamburitza players, and three of them, Zvonimir
Tonkovic
, Darko Kranjcevic
and Marijan Kolak
,
come from northern Adriatic islands where tamburitza are a
rarity.

performs in Croatia
and abroad. Their special event is a Christmas concert in
Vienna.
