 Largest shaving cream pie fight: circus fans set world record (PICS & VIDEO))

DALLAS, TX, USA -- A total of 714 participants in Dallas, Texas, entered the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Pie Fight Battlezone on AT&T Plaza in front of the American Airlines Center, setting the new world record for the Largest shaving cream pie fight, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the largest custard pie fight was one with 3,320 pies thrown by 2 teams of 10 in 3 minutes at the Bolton Arena, Bolton, UK, at an event arranged by Acdoco (UK).

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people in a custard pie fight: 684 participants from the Drake University (USA), and was held at the Olmsted Student Center Parking lot in Des Moines, Iowa, USA.

  "Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey is all about attempting record shattering feats," said Nicole Feld, producer of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey.

  "We couldn't think of a better way than with a World Records attempt to kick off International Clown Week and the opening of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents FULLY CHARGED."

   The biggest shaving cream pie fight is a new Guinness world record category, and had a minimum requirement of 684 participants. Ringling Bros. had 714 participants.

  The record attempt is based on the old record for the largest custard pie fight , which has since been rested due to concerns about wasting food.

  The largest custard pie fight record was held by Drake University, and was achieved at the Olmsted Student Center Parking lot in Des Moines, Iowa.
