  Largest practical science lesson: Birmingham students sets world record (HD Video)

BIRMINGHAM, UK--276 pupils from Bishop Challoner Catholic College took part in the science lesson led by world bubble mastermind, Samsam Bubbleman, and hoped to master the science behind bubble-blowing in anticipation of The Big Bang Fair - setting the new world record for the Largest practical science lesson , according to World Record Academy: http://www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the largest sports lesson was achieved by 988 employees of the Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs Group from across Europe at Sunparks Kempense Meren in Mol, Belgium.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest ski lesson, attended by 594 skiers who were instructed by Hansjürg Gredig (Switzerland) of the Swiss-Snowsport School at Sarn-Heinzenberg (Graubünden), Switzerland .

  Samsam said: "I can't think of a better way to celebrate The Big Bang Fair coming to Birmingham than blowing our way into the Books of World Records. There are so many scientific experiments you can attempt with a bubble, from making square bubbles, to powering the world!"

  Equipped with bubble swords, and under the watchful eye of an official Guinness World Records adjudicator, they were blown-away with a lesson in gravity and light refraction, producing thousands of gigantic soap spheres and bouncing bubbles.

  The Big Bang Fair is the UK's largest free science and engineering event for young people.
