  Largest gathering of people wearing pyjamas: Theme park breaks Guinness world record

Tamworth, UK -- A total of 700 people gathered at Drayton Manor Theme Park in Tamworth wearing the all-in-one suits, which have famously been worn by the likes of boyband One Direction,

 The Guinness world record for the largest gathering of people wearing one-piece pyjamas was achieved by 622 participants at an event organised by LeakyCon (USA) in Chicago, USA.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people wearing paper hats simultaneously; it is 972 and was achieved by Aisin Aw.Co., Ltd. (Japan) in Anjo, Aichi, Japan.

  "Visitors as old as 60 turned up to take part in the event as well as participants as young as 12 months," The Daily Record reported.

  Onesie wearers spent the rest of their day enjoying the thrills and spills of the theme park.

  Colin Bryan, the park's managing director, said: "The atmosphere today has been electric and the glorious sunny weather has helped keep spirits up and has no doubt added to the fantastic turnout.

 "We pride ourselves on offering a value for money day out for the whole family, so we wanted to create something people of all ages could come and take part in."
