 Largest Decorated Hat Contest: Edward Feild Primary School sets world record

Kidlington, Oxfordshire, UK -- 372 youngsters from Edward Feild Primary School entered 372 monarchy-themed hat designs - setting the new world record for the Largest Decorated Hat Contest, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/.

The Guinness world record for the largest hat competition involved 281 participants and was organised by the St Margaret of Scotland Hospice (UK), in Clydebank, Dunbartonshire, UK.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest hat mosaic, which consisted of 1,861 caps and was achieved by New Era Cap Company Ltd (Global), at Bread and Butter tradeshow, in Berlin, Germany.

  Youngsters at Edward Feild Primary School have scooped the record for most people entering a decorated hat contest.

  They entered 372 monarchy-themed designs to try to beat 281 submitted by the St Margaret of Scotland Hospice in Dunbartonshire last year.
