Largest custard pie fight - world record set at Kidz Stuff festival

  HORSHAM Park, UK -- During the Kidz Stuff Festival in Horsham, in southern England, 251 children aged between three and 13 took part in the world's largest custard pie fight .

   The fight saw 1,250 flans containing 570 litres of real custard laid out in the arena.

   The successful fight left previous world attempts standing – including a pie fight held in March at the University of Birmingham which saw just over 200 students take part.

   The Kidz Stuff Festival has been organised by the Rotary Club of Horsham together with Terbell Ltd., a local event management company, with support from Horsham District Council.

   Organiser Adam Proto hailed the splat-tastic event as 'brilliant'. Wiping pieces of pie off him, he said: "It was better than I imagined. "This is what Kidz Stuff is all about – it is being silly and enjoying yourself."

   "Kidz Stuff is all about different things. It was monster trucks last year and the biggest custard pie fight this year.

   "Perhaps we will break another record next year."
