  Largest computer security lesson: world record set in India

   MUMBAI, India -- KPMG in India conducted a mass outreach program to educate young school children about being cyber safe; reaching out to a whopping/impressive 3673 participants in schools across India, the company has set a new world record for the Largest computer security lesson at multiple locations , according to the World Record Academy .

    Commenting on the achievement Arun M Kumar, Chairman and CEO, KPMG in India said "Educating students on Cyber Security is vital in today's interconnected world. The firm has made a significant contribution to our communities through this novel and impactful initiative of conducting the largest computer security lesson to educate young school children."

Akhilesh Tuteja, Global Cyber Security Co-lead and Head of Risk Consulting at KPMG in India, said:    "The youth, especially school children are vulnerable to online fraud and crimes, with many of them falling prey to cyber predators in recent times. Such a scenario compelled us to put forth a cyber security initiative to address this cohort, reaching out to as many of them as possible.

   Conducted through classroom training sessions across India, the unique outreach programme witnessed a record number of participants at multiple locations, who took the opportunity to gain knowledge on the increasingly crucial subject of cybersecurity.
