The Guinness world record for the largest busk consisted of 230 artists who played at 100 approved sites for over 2 hour and was organised by the Great Northern Aid Trust as part of their Versus Cancer events in Manchester, UK.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the
largest singing lesson: it involved 6,651 participants and was achieved by Sweet Adelines International in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

Performers played for two hours in 100 places as part of the Bondi Winter Magic Festival, donating their day's earnings to SoundSchool, which teaches music to disadvantaged children.

The Winter Magic Festival was the brainchild of the Bondi Chamber of Commerce who were scratching their heads trying to find ways to reinvigorate Bondi during the cooler months.

Bondi FM director Russ Ayres said: "The youngest registered busker was 4 1/2 years old. She was singing for her father."
