  Largest bachata dance: Kalamata broke Guinness World Records record (VIDEO)

   Kalamata, Greece -- Residents and visitors in Kalamata, Peloponnese flocked in the city's main square to watch 740 dancers break the Guinness World records world record in Bachata dancing; for a little over 15 minutes, 740 dancers gave their best and gave and put the Messinian capital in the international map of Bachata dancing, after setting the new world record for the Largest bachata dance, according to the World Record Academy .

The Guinness World Records world record for the largest Kuchipudi dance comprised of 5,794 participants and was achieved by SiliconAndhra (USA) in Hyderabad, India, on 25 December 2012.

     Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest tarantella dance involved 316 participants for an event organised by Stadthalle Unna GmbH (Germany) at the Un(n)a Festa Italiana in Unna, Germany, on 21 May 2009.


     Residents and visitors in Kalamata, Peloponnese flocked in the city's main square to watch 740 dancers break the Guinness world record in Bachata dancing, The Greek Reporter says.

   The announcement that the dancers broke the Guinness world record was met with wild applause and cheers from dancers and spectators alike.

    The previous Guinness World Records world record was 704 dancers.
