   Largest Yellowfin Tuna: Kieran O'Neill breaks Guinness World Records' record

GLOUCESTER, MA, USA -- During the first World Tuna Tournament which attracted more than 80 boats, Mr. Kieran O'Neill of Highland Falls, N.Y., Owner/ Skipper of "The 22Ft Carp boat" hooked & landed the category for longest/heaviest Fish and won a second prize of $20,000 (which he donated to local charities) for the heaviest single yellow fin, 1.037 pounds and 9Ft 11 inches, setting the new world record for the Largest Yellowfin Tuna, according to the World Record Academy: www.worldrecordacademy.com/ .

The Guinness World Records' record for the Most expensive tuna fish was set by a single blue-fin tuna (Thunnus thynnus) weighing 342 kg (754 lb); it was sold at an auction in the Tsukji fish market in Tokyo, Japan, on 5 January 2011, where it raised 34.49 million Yen ($420,000 or £270,000).

  Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest serving of fish and chips; it weighs 47.75 kg (105 lb 4 oz) and was achieved by Fish and Chips@ LTD (UK), in London, UK.

  Kieran O'Neill: "I give the credit of this victory to my two crew mates and our unity Dennis Orme and Jim Fazio and especially to God for protecting us as our boat was sinking as we hauled in the fish. Our motto was "Whatever it takes" I would like to make a video and write a book about the entire episode because it is a story of human endurance, determination and terrific faith in challenging our limitations, humbling ourselves to the Human internal Spirit..."

   "My family was in the fish industry in Ireland for generations. I give credit to my Dad who thought me everything and I cried because he did not live to see the victorious day.

   "An old Fisherman placed his hand on my shoulder at the weigh in and said 'You must have had your left foot in a bucket for a long time to catch a fish like that'.

  My wife made a plaque from the front Page News article/ picture at the time from The Highland Falls News. NY, and placed it on the wall.

     "I have three sons / Engineers in Mechanical, Civil, / Aviation and a daughter Teaching first graders in VA.. They are all on top of their game winners/leaders in their field and I am most proud of them. I Love America. "A victory for one is a victory for all".
