The Guinness World Records' record for the most people spinning a basketball simultaneously was achieved by 104 participants in an event organised by Cheshire Jets Basketball Club at Ellesmere Port Catholic High in Chester, UK, on 26 July 2009. Log book was used for the counting.

Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people spinning tops simultaneously; it was 377 in an event organised by Mani Limited at the Tuen Mun Town Plaza (China) in Hong Kong, China on 1 October 2010. 377 of the 442 participants qualified by spinning their top for a total of 10 seconds.

The previous Guinness World Records' record that the Aces had to surpass was 104.

A total of 181 participants gathered on the court attempting to spin the ball on their finger for one minute, the Echo Press reports.

Those who failed to spin the ball for the full minute were not a part of the final tally toward the record. That number of 133 participants who succeeded came on their first try.

The Alexandria Aces are a basketball performance team consisting of boys and girls ages 5-12 based out of Alexandria, Minnesota.
In 25 years of existence, they have gone from performing at small high school venues to being one of the top halftime acts in college basketball and the NBA.

Their dribbling, juggling and spinning feats have been performed in front of more than 3 million fans across the United States and Canada over the years.
