Longest Marathon Bag Toss: DuPage group set world record

DuPage County, IL, USA -- Four friends from Wheaton and Warrenville - Sam Schwarts, Devon Curry, Miles Bocianski and Zachary Noffsinger played 102 games of bag toss, taking just more than 24 hours - and setting the world record for the Longest Marathon Bag Toss.

The Guinness world record for the longest trading card playing marathon is held by William Stone, Bryan Erwin and Christopher Groetzinger (all USA) who played 154 games of The Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game for 128 hours at The Courtyard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.

  Guinness World Records also recognized the longest windsurfing marathon: 71 hr 30 min, set by Sergiy Naidych (Ukraine) at Radyschev Lake, Simerferopol, Crimea, Ukraine.

  After hours of wet towels wrapped around their necks and well-wishers stopping by, a small group of spectators and parents claps and cheers as Schwarts sinks the final bag, wrapping up the score of Game 102 at 25-12 and ending the challenge.

  Nearly a year ago, the group hatched a plan to create the record on an afternoon filled with bag toss.

  "It feels pretty good," Noffsinger says. "We've still got to wait for the confirmation, though. I don't really care about the record, it was just fun."
